Hi Russell,

When you download to your Dropbox folder you are still downloading to your hard drive. If you do not have enough space on your HD you will not be able to download it to your Dropbox folder.

If that is the case, you may need to get an external hard drive in order to download your images

If I have completely misunderstood your workflow, please let me know and we'll go from there.

Best regards,
Glenyse

Thank you and yes I don't have the space on my comp as I thought Drop box is a cloud base program so you are saying it is not as I just bought 1 TB to accommodate. What do you suggest as this is in prep to move files because I got an email to say Adobe Revel will not be available next year Feb.

Hi Russell,

Yes, Revel is ending on February 23 but you will still be able to download your images until May 24.

What you might do is download one of your libraries from Revel to your desktop then upload those to Dropbox. Once you are SURE those images are in dropbox, you could delete them from your hard drive or you could store them as back-up on an external hard drive. Then you could download another library, upload to Dropbox, etc.

Thanks Glenyse my problem is that it is only one Library so what provisions is adobe doing to facilitate the large library's from accounts that have 65-70 GB to store on the cloud and a program the revel program was perfect to work off my mobile I would even pay for that set up.

Hi Russell,

Those of us who used Revel and were fans are very very sad to see it go. Adobe is planning on providing cloud storage for original photos in the future. So that's something to look forward to. But unfortunately it does not help you now.

You may want to borrow or get yourself an external HD to temporarily download your images from Revel then upload up to Dropbox.

My hard drive on my computer doesn't have enough space as it holds 80 gig already for adobe revel as my drop box is on the same HD it gives me an error that I don't have enough space , do you think they will keep files open on revel until they get the space and we then can upload directly to the new program. Please give me your thoughts thanks.

Hi Russell,

Unfortunately I don't have info on the 'when' of the cloud storage being available from Adobe.

These are dates that I do know right now:
* February 23, 2016: The Revel app and adoberevel.com storage and sharing services will close. This is the last day you’ll be able to sign in to the Revel app, access it, etc.

* May 24, 2016: Last day to download your Revel files. So, you will be able to download your images until almost the end of May

We'll find a way to get you your images, so don't worry that they will be deleted. I, of course, recommend getting an external portable HD. You also might try asking a friend who may have the room to download your images then upload to Dropbox. I think no matter the service you choose, though, you will have to download all your images first.

One more thing: Using the Adobe Revel Downloader we give you an estimate on how much space will be needed to download your library. If you have a shared library from friends or family in your library view we don't compute or report the size of these libraries until we queue all the images for download, and that happens after you click “Download.” If you have shared libraries in your Revel account be sure to uncheck any shared libraries you may be a part of.
