Lightroom Classic: Importing Errors: Can't import all images at once

Using Win 10. When importing from sd card to external hard, some of the raw files are imported and others are not. I have used two different readers and changed ports and it seems to still not help. In order to import all images I'm required to redo task more than 10 times, each import with different amounts of images. In the middle of importing, LR will stop and sd card disconnects and reconnects. Error messages are then displayed: corrupted files, images missing, no disk space etc. I'm not sure if it's the sd card itself or what. I would like to avoid having to put images on computer before importing. Please help!

Save yourself the stress... your best option is to put the images on computer first. Then instruct LR to add those images to catalog.

Yes As Above.
Copy images from the memory card (or cards) using the File Manager included with the operating system your computer is using, Finder for Mac and File Explorer for Windows, to the folder or folders you want them to end up in and then import into LR using the Add option at the top of the import screen.

This will add them to the LR catalog file and Leave them where you have placed them on your hard drive.

Try a direct cable connection from the camera's USB port to the computer's USB port. If the that works properly then your SD card readers may not be compatible with that SD card. What exact SD card and card reader make and model are you using?

The Lexar 633x 64GB SD Card and Lenovo C613 card reader should be compatible. Does it work properly if try transferring the files to your external HDD as suggested using File Explorer or Finder?

If not does it work properly with using direct cable connection from the camera's USB port to the computer's USB port?

Do other SD cards import into LR with no issues using the Lenovo card reader?
