Importation of scanned documents from my Epson XP-72- printer is not working with WiFi connection. Photoshop says it cannot find a WIA Device. This despite the fact that it can find the printer to print with the WiFi link

Try to do reset all settings and re-install the software for the printer on the computer. I have been there. had to completely remove the whole program and doing reset all settings on the printer.

Are you using Premiere Elements? or Photoshop Elements? Or something different?

Hi. I am using Photoshop Elements 14. After receiving your reply, I remembered I still had Elements 9 on the PC and opened that. It suffers the same problem. Perhaps the issue is with the printer (Epson XP-720). Grateful for any help!

Does the scanning software that came with the scanner work to make scans?

Some ideas:

1. The driver/software for your scanner might need to be updated.
2. The driver may only support TWAIN, in which case you should download the TWAIN plug-in for Elements. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/twain-installed-photoshop-elements-11.html

If either of those fail, use the standalone software to scan. There should be an option in the scanning software to open the scans in Elements after the file is scanned and saved. This is the method I use - since it allows me to make edits in Photoshop while I scan in the background.

Thanks. It is working! I did two things. I updated the drivers for the printer and I ran a "cleaning" program called SparkTrust PC Cleaner PLus. One or both of those did the trick. many thanks for your time and attention.
