Lightroom: Import Problem, JPGs look like a Preset has been applied

I'm sure this will sound like a stupid question, and I've really used LR for a while now, BUT...I've run into something, and I'll be "danged" if I can figure it out.
Lately, every time I import images, the JPGs look like a Preset has been applied. They are BW, and the tones are skewed. I've tried going in and resetting to Default values, but it doesn't seem to work. WTH have I done?? And how can I undo it, so that all images are imported without any modification/correction?
I appreciate the help, and apologize if I've wasted anyone's time...

Is it possible the camera has a black and white setting that's baking that into the JPEG files? (assuming that's what BW means above)
