Lightroom: Import (Copy, New) issue.

I'm using LR 3.5 for Mac. Seems that the import dialog doesn't filter out images already imported into the catalog. Import settings are "Copy" and "New Photos". CF card has 2 shoots. First shoot was already imported, went out and did 2nd shoot, inserted into reader and LR shows both shoots ready for import. HUH?

Did you eventually rename the imported files or change capture time on them?

I haven't altered them in any way.

And is "Don't Import Suspected Duplicates" checked or unchecked?

While that works, isn't it redundant? If you hover over "New Photos" it says: "Exclude previously imported photos" I'll just check "Don't Import Suspected Duplicates" but I think they need to clear up this issue. The photos shown in the import dialog check-marked and waiting for import are definitely in the current catalog and were recently imported. Or am I just missing their meaning?

To be honest, I've never had this issue before as I always have that option checked (why wouldn't anybody unless they were deliberately trying to import duplicates?). Having said that, yes it does seem as though the New Imports option is being (incorrectly) overridden by the Suspected Dupes option, which could be a bug I guess.
