I would love to see presets added to the Import Module. This would speed up the Import process by allowing you to set up Folders for clients and have selected Make A Second Copy location defined. Every time I do a Import I have to refer to notes on the setting and locations of the images I wish to import. Setting these up by client name or image type and naming them would be a huge work flow time saver. Have it work just like Export only on the Import Module.

The Import module already supports presets - at the bottom of the import dialog box.

Import source however is not savable in a preset.

However, if you know where you want to import from for different clients, just drag from said source in OS and drop into library grid..

OK I am embarrassed. As long as I have been using Lighttoom and that has been a long time I never once seen the Import Presets at the bottom of the screen. Now the saying "You Can Teach An Old Dog new Tricks" has new meaning. Thank you.

If it's any consolation, it does seem a little bit "in-the-trim" (almost in the background) or something - surprisingly easy to miss - you're not the first..

Anyway, now ya know..

Cheers,
Rob
