Images import to Lightroom CC without date when migrating from Classic

I have a bunch of images that I migrated from Lightroom Classic to CC that did not import with a capture date. When I delete and re-import them to CC, the capture date registers. I’ve been slowly going through and fixing this on images, but I wanted to post for two reasons: (1) if you migrate, you don’t need to manually change the date (I did that on a ton of photos before realizing I could save to, delete, then re-import and the date would appear). (2) I figured someone from Adobe might want to look into that bug.

I’m happy to provide screenshots and do troubleshooting with anyone from Adobe if that would be helpful.

This was the workflow: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/...

I’ll grab some screenshots tomorrow, but is there anything in particular you want to see? Shot of the image metadata in CC and in Finder? Shot of metadata before reximporting and then after? Anything else?

Okay, grabbed a before, after, and Finder screenshot of one image that I just deleted and re-imported. No capture date before, then suddenly capture date after re-import.

Hmmm... this is interesting. I noticed on that particular image, the capture date was not accurate. It looks like it pulled the creation date from the Finder data which is not right. Maybe because this one was a JPEG, so perhaps this was a bad example. Still, here is the Lightroom Classic data on that image.

Unfortunately, I don't have any RAW files left without dates, since I corrected the issue on many of the photos already by exporting and re-importing.
