Bridge CS6 & Elements 11 Organizer: Image timestamp inconsistency

I have an issue related to handling of the image date / time information when working with Adobe Bridge CS6 and Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer. The problem is a bit convoluted and can't be fully described here but I do have a Word file with screen captures that describes exactly what happens. In a nutshell, Organizer will write a value to the Exif data that Bridge does not recognize and therefore does not display the desired date and time associated with the image.

I'd like an explanation of why it appears that I'm getting inconsistent reporting of image metadata from Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer and Adobe Bridge CS6. I'm running under Windows 7 will all Microsoft and Adobe updates installed. The image has a "Date Time Original" of "6/1/1987" which was set with the Organizer. The time of day was set to "Unknown". This image was digitized a few years ago using a 35 mm film scanner. Both products report "Date Time Original" as "6/1/1987" with no time of day value. However, Organizer reports a "Date Time Digitized" as "6/1/1987 1:00 AM" and Bridge reports it as "6/1/1987, 7:00:00 AM". It may be coincidence but my offset from UTC during summer is -6 hours, so it is possible that these are actually the same time although there is no indication that UTC is being used by Bridge. The fact that there is a time of day value in this field appears to be the cause of a sorting problem in Organizer. Several other files are in the same folder and none of them have a time of day value in the "Date Time Digitized" field. These files are arranged in order by filename which by design also corresponds to the order in which the images were taken. As a result the file with a time of day value in "Date Time Digitized" is displayed as the last thumbnail in the folder placing it into an incorrect chronological position. I could probably correct the problem if I could edit out the time of day value in this field, but that doesn't seem to be possible with either tool.
