When shutting down the application and performing a backup/optimisation, The image information ('i' button to cycle through info) remains visible - even when switching to other applications. This remains so until the backup has been completed which can take several minutes. This happens in Lightroom 3.6, 64bit on Win 7.

Sounds like a graphics card issue. Determine what video card you have and go directly to the manufacturers website (nVidia or ATI/AMD) and download the latest driver.

Cheers,
I'm using a nvidia card and the driver has indeed been updated in the last few months.
I'll install it tomorrow and update you with its efficacy.

K' Thanks. I hope that's the problem. If not, we'll go from there.

Hi,

I just wanted to give you an update.
To clarify, the behaviour outlined in the original post was observed for the first time after upgrading from LR3.5 and using LR3.6 for the first time.

Before installing the updated nvidia driver I wanted to rerun the backup (test integrity and optimise checked). I could not recreate the previous problem.

Perhaps its something that occurs only on first use?

Regardless, its a minor issue that is unreproducible.

Thanks for your help.
