This quirky situation along with a few others has been linked to NIK plug-ins from Google.

If you can uninstall them, or at least rename the Selective Tool plug-in folder to disable that one, it may fix the problem.

Thank you Steve. Now it opens with the crop from Lightroom.

But still my photo's from Lightroom are not first open up in camera raw. This did not work at all since I have PS CC.

Edit in LR when LR and PS/ACR are matched versions (i.e. ACR 8.3 and LR 5.3) is not supposed to show any ACR dialog on the way into PS, anymore. This is because ACR can fully render all the LR adjustments when ACR and LR are matched, so there's no need to make any adjustments outside of LR.

What is happening behind the scenes is LR is sending PS the LR settings, and PS is telling ACR these settings and ACR is rendering the file w/o showing any user-interface, and the file opens in PS memory without going through an intermediate temporary file, anymore.

What is your workflow where you want ACR to open on the way into PS?

OK that makes it completely clear. And when I make no adjustment in LR it still not opens in ACR?

And in older versions of LR it showed a menu in LR with 3 choices before opening in PS. This also does not show anymore.

My workflow is starting in LR and sometimes some extra adjustments in PS.

Maybe "adjustments" is the wrong word to use; how about "settings"?

There are always settings applied to a photo. If you haven't adjusted anything, then the settings will be the LR defaults--a lot of which are zeros.

When LR and PS/ACR are matched, regardless of what the settings are, LR will tell PS and PS will tell ACR these values and ACR will render using them.

If LR and PS/ACR don't match then there are choices since something less-than-optimal will happen, either not all of the settings will be applied or there will be an intermediate file generated, so you are reminded about updating your PS or LR.
