You require me to pay a monthly for for just the photoshop software. I'm not doing it. I think you can charge me a one time fee for the software. I don't want the cloud and don't want to pay for it. I just want to pay one time for software and use it indefinitely. Until you comply, I will not buy any of your products.

It sounds easy to just buy one version and use it forever, but there are advancements in image processing and camera support every year.

Long ago, I bought Adobe CS3 (with every Adobe product in it), and they upgraded me to CS4 for free because it came out soon after my purchase. It wasn't long before I wanted CS5 (Photoshop got Content-Aware Fill) but I couldn't rationalize buying the entire CS5 suite.

But now, the Photography plan provides constantly updated Photoshop and LightRoom (the real LightRoom) and is cheaper than buying a new version every couple of years. I would not be happy using CS4 today.

The Gimp is free software that can do a lot of what Photoshop does, but in my opinion Photoshop is better. And worth paying for.

Unless, the community of Adobe Users refuses to purchase a yearly or monthly subscription. Adobe will not go back to purchase software. Adobe should offer a deal that if you get subscription. Two year program or four. The user will have the option to keep a full license product. But the Steve Jobs day's. You buy it, you own. Has died when he pass...
