Which version of Photoshop are you using?
Which OS version?
Which printer make and model?

Most of the time, crashes when printing are due to bugs in the printer driver software. But we have also seen some crashes due to OS bugs from time to time.

And you can call or use web chat to talk to technical support at any time.

Hi Norman,

Not to mention, the development team is very invested in our users and we monitors these forums in additional to our regular work. Chris is one of our senior engineers, for instance.

Thanks,

Chris, This is Norman sade again. It's PS 12.0x64: Mac OSX 10.7.5: Epson R280. The attached image shows the bands. Only occurs on some images, not others./Users/normansade/Desktop/photo.pdf

You didn't attach the image, and just gave a file path to your local disk.

And you really need to go install the updates for Photoshop CS5 - you should have version 12.0.4.

Banding in the print means a problem with the printer itself, or the printer driver.

Chris, Further complicating the issues, the photo was printed with IMAC. Ps does not let me print at all.

First you said it crashed, then mentioned banding, then say you can't print at all. Please try to stick to one problem so we can help you solve it.

Chris, You are right--the banding is another unrelated issue which I am working to correct with Epson. As you suggested I did update PS5 to version 12.0.4 and, a miracle, it now prints. How about that? Many thanks. Norman

Alright, so it's one of the issues we fixed in a dot release. Good, troubleshooting drivers always takes a long time....
