I think you need to try to come up with more details about your idea. We all want to save time. What Photoshop feature did you have in mind?

Firstly sorry sir , im new in this community and i still don't get used to it ,  meanwhile we (photoshop users) mask  subject such as fur / hair or any mask in generale .
we have the habit of making a solid color adjustment layer underneath it   , to check out how well we mask it or if we still need reffriment like "defringe" .
My idea came out associated with the isolation concept of illustrator
*why we don't double click inside document window exactly on visual object which have layer mask  it isolate it but with opaque overlay like "solid color" and to make things easier for us users , may it should follow this  algorithm  simply  like you make selection of your mask and expand it few pixels and  on layer underneath it than apply blur > average  ,  for easing out  thing for user if he have multiple layer it just treat all layer visible like one solid layer except for one that he is in isolation mode THE NEW  Concept    ABOVE .
simply to exit it just left click > except " still looking for cool name " and its back to its normal state
Summarize : us an photoshop user we know that double click on visible element inside of document window doesn't do any functions   the opposite of illustrator , so we can fill this gap by some  common  moves tips whatever .

i hope you gets my point and thank you for your time ( all suggest accepted )

I like the idea of something that would work that easily for setting us up with masking. The thing is, they've created the S&M workspace. What if they  added an option to view the mask on our own choice of background—solid color or an image we know we want to use, or something similar? That would be a start. They could open a color picker for solid color, or the OS File window for an image that we don't already have loaded.

But while I see what you're asking for, and in general like the idea, because they're focused on masking, especially refining, inside S&M, I think isolation mode in PS would be better off separated so it works in the PS document window for anything we might use it for. I'd like an isolation mode in PS where only one layer or group is active,  but the rest screened back so we can still see the context we're working in, like Illustrator.

Then enhance S&M to give us one stop for both making and refining our masks without having to leave S&M. The way it all is now, there aren't enough techniques for good masks in S&M, and everything else is spread all over the map.
