Idea for next Photoshop upgrade: Layer color attribute

Hi, I thought that this would be an obvious thing to suggest, but so far no change has been forthcoming. So here goes...PLEASE CONSIDER THIS:
In the Photoshop layer stack, when you right-click over the eye icon, there are ONLY seven colours to choose from in order to color code the layer.
I use colors to help me quickly identify layers that I definitely use (only two), layers that I maybe use, layers that are photo reference, tech reference layers, adjustment layers,  ...and then I run out of options (a grey layer is of no use at all).
The obvious thing to suggest here, and it's very simple to implement, why not have access to a color wheel and swatches...so you can define your OWN color. Like that, you could have different shades to establish layers of importance, or whatever else you may choose to define yourself.
Something like that would add depth to an ability to organise. It's already too time consuming and a pain in the backside to have to write layer description labels.
Pretty please...with sugar on top?  :-D
