I am using this on my iPhone 4 why was I charged before the 30 days and how can I get this reimbursed?

Also when does the special price of $5.99 stop? In other words if I started a monthly subscription will the price rise to 9.99 after Jan? Or will it stay at 5.99 until Oct 2012? Thank you

Hi Amiga,

If you click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner to open the Settings panel and then click the email address you used for the Adobe ID in the My Account section it should take you to an Account Details window, inside of there what do you have listed for the Account Status?

If subscribe before Jan 2012 you get the discounted price and can continue to renew at that price for two years.

Hi Dave

Thank you for that response. But the first question I had was not answered. I subscribed using iTunes app on my iPhone for the monthly subscription of $5.99 with the first 30 days being free. Yet I was charged $5.99 immediately. So there is something wrong there. That is false advertising. I love the service of carousel but I want what I was told I would get - first 30 days free. So now what?! Who makes the charges? iTunes collects the money but I assume they give it to you. I am sure many people are going to be complaining about this if they were charged within the first 30 days when your app and website state it is free for the first 30 days. You are forced on iTunes to choose a payment method even if you pick free 30 day trial. So the disconnect has to be fixed

And to make sure I understand you correctly if I already subscribed with monthly fee of $5.99 that price will be frozen for two years since it was before jan 2012 that I started service? I do not want a surprise charge come Jan from iTunes with a price of $9.99 per month. Can you clarify this? Thank you in advance for your time and help

Hi Amiga,

Sorry for the confusion. I am using the free trial subscription option myself currently. I'm not sure why you would have been charged unless you chose the option for a paid subscription rather than the free 30 trial on accident. The setting I asked you to check was to help me better understand what happened. Did you subscribe thinking the first 30 days would be free automatically and then you would start being charged afterwards?

You're correct regarding the $5.99 for two years at that rate when you started the subscription before Jan 2012.

Hi Dave,

Are you using yours on the iPhone too? Once I installed it and created an account it asked which subscription I wanted. I picked Free and then the next screen asked after the 30days which method of payment would you be using. I had to choose one. But I do know that I picked 30 days free before picking prescription option. I am using iPhone

Thanks for the info on the subscription rate. And my account is active following your steps from your previous response. Thanks

Hey Amiga,

I set mine up on an iPad but the process should have been the same as for an iPhone. It sounds like you ended up with a paid subscription rather than the free trial somehow. I'm not sure what happened. The billing for subscriptions handled by entirely by Apple through iTunes. I found these links that might help.

I was thinking of creating screen shots walking through the process of setting up the free trial. Wouldn't help you, but might help others.

I allowed my 30 day trial to expire because I was thoroughly unhappy with the Adobe Revel. It was far from user friendly, it duplicated photos and caused a mess with my photos instead of helpin gme sort them in any sane way. It was TERRIBLE.

However, this morning I get charged $5.99 monthly Adobe Revel in my iTunes statement. I have already removed Revel from both iPad and iPhone. How do I get this CANCELED?

Better yet, REFUNDED, since it was not supposed to be charged in the first place?!

I am unhappy with the Adobe Revel since I also got duplicated photos. I would like to have a sort feature also since I needed before and after shots together for showing off remodeling processes. I am using the free 30 day trial and hopefully I won't be charged for a subscription since I won't be signing up.

I'm sorry to hear Revel wasn't all you hoped. It is a product which will be changing and having more features added in the future.

There should be no charge for using or testing out the 30 day trial. If for some reason you ended up getting a paid subscription in error please try using the links I posted for contacting Apple about getting a refund.

Hi Tiffany

I saw your other post: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

Apple is the company that owns iTunes transactions (subscriptions and purchases) even though it is our app you are using.

If you begin a subscription before your free 30 day trial has ended, the Revel subscription begins at that moment. Apple does not care that more free use days were possible. Other subscriptions apps behave the same way.

You mention that other apps are not able to download. The only thing that can explain everything you mentioned here is that you might be using more than one Apple ID. Please sign into your iTunes account using the Apple ID that made began the Revel subscription. If you downloaded others apps from the App Store under another account you will need to sign into the iTunes store using that alternate account. Please contact Apple Support with questions about your account and iTunes usage.
