I want to transfer an illustrator image to photoshop. The image in illustrator is a photo that has been: traced with source image; is in grayscale 2%; paths 2%; corners 2%; noise 100%; method abutting. I would like to transfer this image to photoshop so I can emboss the image ... and/or ...can the described image be embossed in illustrator?

thank you.

Just open the Illustrator document in Photoshop, choose the resolution and color mode, and Photoshop will rasterize it.

Chris,
Can I emboss the image and keep the outlines from illustrator?

No. Photoshop has to rasterize the Illustrator artwork to work on it. After rasterization, you just have the rendered pixels, not the original Illustrator vector shapes.
