Photoshop CS5: image appears in Navigator, but not in document window

This is irregardless of file type, i.e. jpg, psd, png, etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Usually means that you've got a bad video card driver.

You can try turning off OpenGL drawing for the time being (to avoid calling the buggy parts of the driver), but you really need to update the video card driver to fix the bugs in it.

Thank you for your response. I tried turning off OpenGL and that has not solved the problem.

I have Photoshop Elements installed and have also installed a trial version of CS5. I don't have this problem in Elements. Is it possible that having two versions installed is creating the issue?

Did you relaunch Photoshop after disabling OpenGL drawing in Photoshop's preferences?

Elements doesn't use OpenGL drawing yet.

No, the two versions should exist side by side without a problem.

And you still need to go update the video card driver from the GPU maker's website.
