ELEMENTS 12: I cannot move an image when zoomed in by hitting spacebar. The brush changes to the hand but I cannot move the image.

When I first open an image in Elements 12, and zoom in to an area, I can hold spacebar down, brush changes to a hand and I can move around the image. But when I make any update to the image, say by using the healing brush, I cannot move around a zoomed in image. The brush changes to a hand when I hit the spacebar but the image doesn't move.

I have exactly the same problem with v12 on W7 - I also have Photoshop CS5 installed and the works fine. We really do need an answer because it is very inconvenient when trying to change a zoomed image.

Roy, try these steps. They worked for me. Anderson Barnes in the LinkedIn Adobe Photoshop Group gave them to me.
1. Shut down Element.
2. Click Start > In the search box type %appdata%
3. You should see a folder in the selection list by the name of "Roaming"
4. Click this folder and it should take you to you App Data Folder
5. In here you should see a folder named Adobe, click this to open and inside you should see the Elements 12 folder.
6. Rename the elements 12 folder to something like elements 12.old.
7. Restart Elements again and check to see if the problem still persists.

Hi Vince,
Since writing the entry, I have read the manual and it simply says to click twice o the 'hand' after pressing the space-bar and all works fine; I have just tried it!

Good news Roy. That was a lot easier.
