I am trying to backup/restore Elements 11 to my new computer

1st try I used a DVD. not successful - "Recommend contact manufacturer & upgrade to latest firmware" 2nd try I bought new highest level/cost DVD's, same result same comment. 3rd try I used a jump drive, same result & comment. 4th try I bought a brand new, high capacity jump drive & the result was the same. I have 3 catalogs. In each case I copied metadata to the files & only processed 1 catalog.
