More information would be helpful. Your current description doesn't give us enough information to even start guessing.

not sure how to tell you what I'm doing. when I get ready to print I ask for a one inch margin, sometimes set size 8x10 look at the screen which looks ok and hit print. set at 300 pixels. result is always picture not centered on paper. top margins different sizes, also side margins different sizes. I've tried other print options to see if that will fix the problem but nothing seems to help. I'm far from expert using this program. novice is more like it. but I am actually a photographer, and unfortunately this is a really big job. it looks terrible. I'm sure I'm doing many things wrong but can't find a fix in the help topics. is this ok. I don't know what else to tell you. thanks, rachel

Thanks, that provides more useful information.

When Photoshop prints, it gets the information about the printable area from the printer driver, then centers within the area specified by the printer driver. The printer margins and printable area are controlled by the printer driver software, and many printers have the printable area offset slightly from center.

There may be settings available in the printer driver to change the margins, center the printable area, or print full bleed (edge to edge). Exactly how you access the printer driver and OS print settings differs a bit from Photoshop to Elements (and between versions) - and unfortunately I don't have Elements 10 handy to provide exact instructions.

thanks. it's a new printer. it looks like i'll have to research the printer. if you can think of anything else re ELEMENTS I'd appreciate your input. I actually have a recent photoshop installed but I thought this would be easy and fast. in real life I'm a B&W photographer and use film, so I'm a sort of an idiot when it come to digital photography. but thanks for your input.
