Photoshop: Can anyone help with my tool preset problem?

I was having a problem with my brush being transparent despite the opacity and hardness being full on 100%. Then I found the answer by actually resetting the tool's preset, but I immediately regretted it because I thought it would just affect one brush, but it turns out it affected all of my brush, and now they all looked so stiff and weird. I tried re-downloading the brush but it's still the same. I also already tried adjusting the presets manually like hardness, spacing, and roundess. Does anyone know how to restore the previous tool preset? I'm a new user so I don't know what I'm doing. Please help?

My guess is you have a Blend Mode other than "Normal" set on the tool options bar.

I checked it, but it's on Normal. I actually tried loading the brushes files (.abr) back into Photoshop and it quite worked. Though my brush seems chunky now haha. Thank you for your reply by the way. I appreciate it.
