I touchup in Lightroom and the photos look great but grainy when uploaded to viewbug contests

Did you upload your touched up version of the photo by exporting the photo out of the Lightroom first? Have you checked the details of your photo in Lightroom by zooming to 1:1 in the Loupe view? How does it look in that case?

Cool. Lightroom is a non-destructive image editor -- that means it would not modify your original image when you touch up the photo. When you are ready to share your finished photo, you can either use any of the Lightroom publish plug-ins to share it to the online photo sharing service. Those publish plug-ins know how to render the touched up version of the photo before the publication. Alternatively, you can export the photo manually yourself.
