I still don't see a profile for my Nikon AF-P 10-20mm lens with the new camera raw 9.12.1. I thought this lens was supported in the new release.

Hi, the profile for this lens is supported for raw (NEF) files only.

Are you attempting to apply it to a JPEG?

If so, that will not work as the image may already be corrected in-camera.

Nope, applying it to a .NEF file from the Nikon D7500.

OK.

Are you applying it in Camera Raw or Lightroom?

If Camera Raw, does the version number on the Camera Raw Preferences dialog read "Version 9.12.1.790?"

Lightroom. Do I have to import with camera raw instead of just importing into Lightroom?

Lightroom and Camera Raw install a set of lens profiles into unique locations and read from them separately. In most product release cycles this isn't an issue because Lightroom and Camera Raw are almost always in sync in terms of lens and camera support. This release is different since only Camera Raw released support for a new Nikon camera and 4 Nikon lenses. Lightroom will follow up with their own release containing the same support.

There is a way to workaround this temporarily.

You can copy the lens profile from the location that Camera Raw installed it to into a global location that both Camera Raw and Lightroom will read profiles from.

Below is the location to copy from and to copy the profile to, by platform.

Mac (copy from):

/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0/Nikon/NIKON\ CORPORATION\ \(Nikon\ AF-P\ DX\ NIKKOR\ 10-20mm\ f4.5-5.6G\ VR\)\ -\ RAW.lcp

Mac (copy to):
/Users/[your user name]/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0/Nikon/NIKON\ CORPORATION\ \(Nikon\ AF-P\ DX\ NIKKOR\ 10-20mm\ f4.5-5.6G\ VR\)\ -\ RAW.lcp

Windows (copy from):

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0\Nikon\NIKON CORPORATION (Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f4.5-5.6G VR) - RAW.lcp

Windows (copy to):
C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0\Nikon\NIKON CORPORATION (Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f4.5-5.6G VR) - RAW.lcp

Hope that helps!

I have Sierra so I think the paths may be a bit different, but it worked. Thanks.
