I need the jpeg filename for an nef files that have been published using the publishing service "hard drive" using consecutive file subscripts. I have hundreds of images from a wedding that were published as jpegs and shown to clients who chose their images now I need to finally re edit the related nef files but am only able to locate these manually which is tedious and very timeconsuming

When you built the publishing service you should have built a file renaming template. When I import photos, I always rename the image files using a template with my initials, followed by the date, followed by a 4 digit sequence number (e.g. JFW-20161209-0001). This way as long as I export using the filename as part of the new export renaming template I can follow the file all the way back to the original RAW image.

Since you didn't do any of this, I am not sure there is a way unless you preserved the original filename somehow. Post an example of the one of the nef filenames and one of the JPG filenames so I can see what you actually did.

I did the whole process manually and it took several hours for  a hundred and twenty images. example of a a raw file is "untitled (53 of 255).NEF" which became "LizMichael--8"
In future I will preserve the original subscripts as part of my final jpeg filename. My issue is that Lightroom should logically display the jpeg file name after publishing as a field in the library page. Since the nef and jpeg are linked and every time the nef is edited the jpeg is changed, it is not a huge issue but will really help people who want to choose sequential subscripts or any of the other options provided by Lightroom other than original file number
