I'm cropping the image of a video from a rectangle into a square. But, I need the whole thing to stay a rectangle so I'm trying to change the color of the cropped area to anything but black. Imagine rotating a picture and on either side are black bars, I need it to look like that but with any other color. PLEASE HELP ME I'M DESPERATE.

The Background or base layer needs to be filled with the color you want.

When video picture is framed by bars on the left and right, that’s called “pillar box” (as opposed to letter box).
