I lost control key functionality when Lightroom last updated. I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled and control key functionality resumed. When it updated itself the functionality of the control key disappeared again. I can no longer set white and black point, or use the control key when adusting the detail/sharpening mask. Please fix this!!

How do you think anybody can track down your problem, when you give no information at all about your system software, LR version, etc.?

If keyboard shortcut functionality actually changed, I am guessing you have a corrupt preference file. A preference file survives an uninstall/reinstall.

Close Lightroom. Hold down [Opt/Alt]+[Shift] and relaunch Lightroom. Overwrite the preferences when prompted. Close Lightroom. Restart your computer. Launch Lightroom. Is the Control Key behavior restored?

Try using the Alt key instead.

Er, you mean the Option key, not the Ctrl key?

Yup. Just in proper Mac terminology, it's the Opt key.
