Every time I try to open Light room cc I get "The light room catalog named 'light room catalog' cannot be opened because another application already has it open". I've never used light room anywhere but this computer. I try to hit continue and it continues to pop up the same message. I've tried uninstalling it and re-installing the app I've ran out of ideas and I need light room to work like today I really need to get started on editing these photos.

You likely have a hanging LOCK file left over from an abnormal Lightroom shutdown or system crash. Go to the location on disk where you've stored your catalog and locate a file named yourcatalogname.lock. Rename this file. Lightroom should open normally.

Lightroom creates a LOCK file when you have a catalog open to prevent other applications (or instances of Lightroom) from opening the same catalog to ensure you don't corrupt a catalog. If an abnormal exit occurs, the file is left behind and prevents you from opening the catalog.
