Trying to compare/use as reference an HDR-LR-generated file xxx-HDR.DNG, I do not succeed as putting this one as a reference photo to develop an original raw file (NEF).  Only raw-files seem to be appropriate ?

It is working for me here, Marc. I have an xxxx-hdr.dng file on the left and a Canon CR2 on the right.  What OS are you using?

I've tested on Win 10 and Mac 10.13.5 and it works both places for me.

Sometimes weird behavior is corrected/cured by resetting the preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
4. Close Lightroom.
5. Restart Lightroom.

Does the behavior continue after resetting the preferences?
