Elements 13: Problem with printing and merging images

I recently upgraded from a version of Photoshop Elements that worked (6.0) to an unfinished product that does not fully function (12). Your current product is causing problems for those in the legal, accounting, and real estate profession. Here is a short list of incomplete functionality:
1) Printing should be a no brainer. Even though set in windows, this program has a mind of its own, will not keep settings and defaults to the rear tray.
2) inability to merge two images that don't contain an overlapping area. Such as an image of a legal description that spans two or more pages.

I don't care what you do under the hood, but when it interferes with my work, I immediately get mad!!!!!!! In short once you design a user interface, don't change it.

I am not recommending this product to others in my professions.

What OS/version are you running on?

1) Is your printer driver up to date?
2) Photomerge requires images should overlap approximately 15% to 40%: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elem... You can manually align images using the layer move tool.

The Printer Driver is up to date. This is a Windows 7 64-bit operating system. The second file does not load when Photomerge fails to align the images. This is a loss of functionality. Don't waste my time with junior level tech support!
