I am hopeful for what Lightroom CC could become!

As a professional photo organizer and member of APPO (www.appo.org), I continue my quest for the right software solution.

I think Lightroom CC has the POTENTIAL to be the best application for managing, organizing, enjoying and sharing photos synced across several devices.

It seems that most of the complaints are written by people she should be using Lightroom Classic CC. I'm really not sure who Adobe has in mind as their target users.

For myself, my clients, and other APPO members we want:
  • Cloud storage! Yay Lightroom CC!
  • Syncing across several devices - more than currently offered please. (Mylio is good for this currently)
  • Ability to edit (and batch-edit) the capture date - for when camera date is wrong or photos have been scanned. (I use Photoshop Elements Organizer or Lightroom Classic CC or Photo Mechanic for this)
  • Upload photos from multiple folders at once instead of having to open a folder and select photos (other Adobe products currently do this)
  • to be able to sub-divide the collection - 'folders' such as, for example: 'Ann's Phone', John's laptop' (Mylio does this, and I can view by folder in Photoshop Elements Organizer)
  • The ability to save metadata to files and preferably not have xmp sidecar files. (Mylio, and other Adobe products do this).
  • Facial recognition - add the names as keywords
Other features that would be magical!!!:
  • Append file name with capture date (Bulk rename utility does this)
  • Add words in file name as keywords on import. (Mylio does this)
Right now, to get all these features that I an other photo organizers want, I would need to use about 4 different applications. I can't. I don't. Too slow.

My dream would be to have all these features in one Adobe package!
