Clone stamp feature not working in MANY ADOBE programs. Evident from all of the forums on this issue and efforts (useless) to find a solution - unaided and unassisted by Adobe. Adobe should attempt to address these problems and find solutions otherwise they are going to lose many a frustrated user. (Corel...here I come!)(

Which specific application are you using?
And what problems are you seeing?

There are no widespread problems reported with the clone stamp tools.
And most of what you find on the forums is people forgetting options that they set, or forgetting to set a clone source point.

I too have a new problem with Clone stamp in Elements 12. It is locked into Pattern stamp. I have used Clone in at least Photoshop CS, almost all of the Photoshop Elements softwares for years. Now out of the blue, it is not working. It will only pattern stamp the little blue bubbles, no matter what I sample. I tried to join the photoshop forumn, and posted a message, but not sure i did that right.
Thanks for any help.

Make sure you have the clone tool selected in the Tool Options:

I would expect you to say that, but I really did have the right tool selected. In 12, it actually says Clone Stamp above the icon (In the tool bar at the bottom.

I am pretty sure a couple of weeks ago, I deleted the software and reloaded. I am 75 and my memory is not as good as yours, but I am pretty sure it worked for a while and then froze up again. Sad as it is, I can't really say for sure.

Hi Beverly,

I had the same issue and I just found the answer. Right click the clone stamp tool icon and select clone stamp tool. If your tool has an x on the icon, that means that you are locked in "pattern" and not the clone stamp tool.

I wish you the best of luck : )
