Your license allows you to install it on 2 computers.

When you get a new computer, deactivate the license on one old one, then activate on the new system.

No, you just install. If you need to deactivate it on an old computer Help->Deactivate.

With traditional licenses (CS6 and earlier) licenses are platform specific, so you can install on two of your personal computers (as long as they are the same OS/platform). With Creative Cloud, the license is cross-platform, so you can install on two computers, any mix of Mac and Windows.

I have photoshop on my work computer but need to do some work from home. Can I log into my adobe account and use photoshop on my home computer, or do I need to pay for 2 separate licenses?

Thank you!

If you're planning to get rid or an old computer but it still runs, choose Help>Deactivate... or Help>Sign-Out... to remove the activation from the computer before you dispose of the computer or sell it. Instructions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/po...

If you are using Photoshop CS6 or earlier and you've lost an activation because of a hardware failure and the system no longer runs, go to this page and work with a chat agent. They should be able to restore your activation: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/po...

If you don't remember your serial # but you've registered your product, you can sign into adobe.com and access your serial #s here: https://www.adobe.com/account/my-prod...

Hi Jeffrey,

Thank you for responding. So just to clarify, if I purchase an annual plan from the following link https://creative.adobe.com/plans/phot... Then I will be able to use the programme both at home and at the office, regardless of platform, as long as I only use one at a time? Do I need to activate/deactivate every time I switch? Or can I keep Photoshop installed on both and just use one at a time?

Thank you!

No need to activate/deactivate. Just keep both installed and use one at a time.

I am using Windows 8.1 with Photoshop CS5 on my main PC. I travel frequently and take along my tablet PC also with Windows 8.1. I am thinking of upgrading to Photoshop CC and would like to access the software on the tablet wen I am travelling. Do I have to purchase a separate license for each computer?

If you purchase the Creative Cloud Photography Plan you can install Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC on both Mac OS and Windows computers (up to two of your desktop systems). Mobile apps ( http://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/catalog/mobile.html ), such as Lightroom mobile, Photoshop Mix and Fix can be installed on as many mobile devices (such as an iPad, iPhone or Android phone or tablet) as you like.

Hi. I'm about to purchase a new computer, but will probably be using photoshop in both. One is a Mac and the other one will be HP. I subscribed to Photoshop monthly fee for a year. Can I use the same account for both computers?

Yes. Since they went to the subscription model, you can use any two computers. It doesn't matter if one is Mac and the other Windows, the way it mattered when you bought a license that was platform specific. Lots of people work on both a Mac and a Windows machine.
