The Photoshop Express Uploader lets you upload files to Photoshop.com, and download files from Photoshop.com to your desktop. When you start the Photoshop Express Uploader and log in to your Photoshop.com account, the Express Uploader displays thumbnails of the albums in your Photoshop.com library.

To upload assets, drag files from your computer into the Photoshop Express Uploader window, and then onto one of the album thumbnails.

You can also sync files on your hard disk with the albums in your Photoshop.com library. Changes you make to the contents of your albums either in the Photoshop Express Uploader or on Photoshop.com are automatically reflected in the other location.

Upload photos and videos

  1. Start the Photoshop Express Uploader. Sign in, if prompted.

  2. Do one of the following:

  3. Drag the files you want to upload onto the top pane of the Photoshop Express Uploader window.

  4. Click Browse to navigate to the photos or videos you want to upload and select them.

  5. Drag the files you added onto an album thumbnail in the bottom pane of the Photoshop Express Uploader. Or, if you want to upload the files to a new album, drag the files onto to the New Album thumbnail.

  6. Click Upload, and then click OK.

Note: If you upload Camera Raw files with nondestructive adjustments, also upload the .xml files that have the same name as the Camera Raw files. Nondestructive adjustments are recorded in those .xml files, and they are necessary to preserve the adjustments when you upload and view the photos on Photoshop.com. (Nondestructive adjustments can be made using Adobe desktop applications, such as Photoshop, Lightroom, or Photoshop Elements.)

What are the technical specifications to be able to download the air file so you can use the express uploader? The instructions are so simplistic and yet it does not address the real issues.

Hi Edward, please see this topic about migrating from Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0 to Elements:

WHAT are you talking about. I can't get the software to download!! This, after you charged my AMEX card for the upgrade. I am MORE than agitated and much too busy to put up with Adobe's games. I follow your advice and go to the "instructions" and there is nothing there but more upgrade choices. I just want access to the last 7 years of unfettered use and my existing photos -- your "Registration Form" has blocked me out and no matter how many times I comment to you folks I get ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE. Is this some kind of a game?? Pretty sick. Just give me what I've paid your company for and you'll never hear from me again -- I promise!!!

Edward, Sorry. I am trying to help you but you're not being very clear.
Are you having trouble downloading Photoshop Elements 10? Or are you having trouble finding your photos on your hard drive that you had organized in Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0?

This system of ? and comments does not work. I asked a question (JP) above and 4 hrs ago E.Rose posed another question, different than mine. I get an email telling me there's an answer to my question. Yeah, right.

What operating system and release # do you need on a MAC to use the express uploader??????????

Hi Judith, the Express Uploader is based on Adobe AIR. Here are the system requirements:

http://www.adobe.com/products/air/tec...

Currently, the requirements for the Mac are:

Intel CoreTM Duo or faster processor
Mac OS X v10.6 or v10.7
512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)

PLEASE post this essential info so users are not sent on a scavenger hunt trying to figure out why all uploads don't work. My op sys is 10.4.11 so all this frustration could have been avoided if this was posted upfront. THANKS for letting me know. BTW, I am using PS 7.1 STILL and when I buy a new MAC, will all my designs/jpg & png files be edit-able on the new CS? JP

Sorry. I'll see about getting that info included on the Photoshop Express Uploader page.

Yes. Your old PSD, Tiff, JPEG and PNG files will be able to be opened in either Photoshop Elements 10 or Photoshop CS5.

I agree. The key phrase here is "...will be able to be opened..."
IF I HAD THE SOFTWARE!!! Download it please. You haven't done it yet and I paid for it a week ago!

Edward, again, sorry. I am trying to help you but you're not being very clear.

This page is about about the Photoshop Express Uploader. It is a free application you download.

It sounds like you're referring to something else.

Are you having trouble downloading Photoshop Elements 10? Or are you having trouble finding your photos on your hard drive that you had organized in Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0?

I am having trouble downloading Elements 10 AND because of that fact I cannot access my Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0 because that program (which I've used for 6-7 years w/o "access" problems) is now me kicking out of my previously licensed Edtion 3.0 saying it is "...too late to register the product..." and shuts down the program. Is this clear enough??!

That's a little more clear.

Let's tackle the first issue of trouble downloading Elements 10 first. Are you able to access your account on Adobe.com using your Adobe ID and Password? Or are you able to access your account, but having difficulty with the Adobe Download Assistant? If so, this is the best way to resolve either of those issues:

http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

Once you have Elements downloaded, you can import your photos from your hard disk into Elements:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/870/cpsid_87...

As stated in the previous conversations, Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0 is no longer supported. If you don't have a copy of your unlock code created prior 5 p.m. (Pacific Time) on July 31 2009, a new one can't be generated. Since you have Elements 10, you will be using it instead of Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0.

Jeffrey - I need to talk with another tech - you DON'T GET IT! I NEVER reeived my software in order to download it. Your website is a joke. It doesn't allow me to download something I don't have and doesn't allow me to access my order. I don't have a disk with a serial # and you haven't allowed me to get at my PAID order. What don't you understand?

Yes. I do get it. Please follow the link:

That is how you talk to a tech about getting your software.

Jeff:

Thank you,

Please send me the CD for Order # AD004577496; Product # 29230976 paid on January 2, 2012. Please, you are of no help whatsoever and I want what I paid for. I appreciate you may be trying to help, but your comments have not solved my problem.

Hi Edward. Your order was for an Elements Plus upgrade, which isn't a CD, it's a subscription for 25GB of photo storage on Photoshop.com. You should be able to log into Photoshop.com and start using your photo storage on Photoshop.com through the online Photoshop Express Organizer to organize your photos - and use the Photoshop Express Uploader mentioned in this post to upload your photos to your 25GB of space. If this isn't what you thought you purchased, I can have support refund your order and cancel this subscription.

Hi Jeff:

You are exactly right. This product is not what I thought I purchased. However, it does not solve my problem to get a refund except to perhaps apply it to a product that is an upgrade that I can use by upgrading my current program. Is there solution to this that is reasonably priced?

Thank you,

Ed Rose

Hi Edward,

Just to confirm, your current product is Photoshop Album Starter Edition?

I think what you want is Photoshop Element 10: http://www.adobe.com/products/photosh...

I'll send you an email. To clarify the rest of the arrangements.
