I've used Adobe Photoshop Version 5.0.2 for YEARS and I've loved it. Now I can't access any photo's - says "Thumbnail Cache Initialisation Failed". How do I fix this, or if I reload the software, what will happen? I need to access my photo's and keep them in their albums. Please help!!! Thanks very much, Ann Easton South Africa

Can you look at the organizer log and see if it gives any clues?

C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Organizer\Log.txt

You could also try deleting the tn.5.cache file:

On Vista/Win7, the file is in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Catalog Folders\Your Catalog Name

On XP, it's C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Catalog Folders\Your Catalog Name
