How to edit/create 3d lut - color lookup - for the use in Photoshop CS6, without the need of furthermore expensive software, is there a opensource editor or things like that ...

Are I/we allowed to build our own?
If yes,
-> what are the meanings of all that numbers, so we can easyly build a mapper/editor to output some 3dluts...

the files look like this:

#Do not edit
# LUT created by Synthetic Aperture Color Finesse 3 3.0.6(275)

3DMESH
Mesh 4 12
0 64 128 192 256 320 384 448 512 576 640 704 768 832 896 960 1023

646 455 407
646 455 481
646 455 558
...

Or is Adobe planning to build a editor into photoshop, or to release a free plugin for it??

At the moment, there are no tools for editing or creating 3DLUTs in Photoshop.

Sure, you can build your own -- the file formats are all available on the web.
Each of the supported formats is different, and all have some odd quirks in their support in various applications - be careful.

Is there a documentation about which formats are supported by PS now and a roadmap for the future?

The Photoshop documentation discusses which formats are supported.

And no, there is no roadmap because we cannot discuss unannounced versions of software.

If you have a video editing package, you might be able to use LUT Buddy: http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/produ...

LUT Buddy does exactly what I wish we could do in Photoshop. If it was compatible, it would allow us to take a bunch of adjustment layers, and save them as an easily re-usable LUT!

If properly integrated into Photoshop I imagine it could be simplified though, perhaps to somthing like just selecting the Adjustment Layers and choosing "Generate LUT" from a menu.
