Agree. This is a very common problem reported on this site but no comments have come back from the Adobe Photoshop Team.

Has anyone figured out yet how to use gmail when sharing photos in PSE 9? I have entered my information in the set-up, but I get an error when I try to share the photo.

See the discussion in this thread - I am using PSE 8 but the same procedure should work, as I describe in my reply. I use Yahoo web mail which is web based like googlemail.

DaveB - Thanks for the information. Before I make the change, I have a question. I currently use gmail and it is set up as my default email. Using Firefox, when I click on a website to forward as an email, my gmail is automatically opened and the email is created. By changing to windowslive as my default email for Adobe PSE9, will that also affect other programs and thus send emails out to others with a windowslive email address?

In reply to John Walsh. Using my set up, my default Yahoo mail continues to be the default email for most applications. However, I have noticed on some occasions Windows Live Mail has opened. In those cases all I do is cut and paste the email address from the live mail into my yahoo mail email and send, after closing the live mail programme.

Sorry I cannot help further, you may need to get further technical advice for fine tuning. My main concern was to set it up so photoshop would send my photos and that live mail would not download any of my emails which I want restricted to my Yahoomail inbox, to avoid duplication.

DaveB - Someone at Adobe must have been tracking this because now I am able to put in my gmail information and it worked. I received a confirmation email with a verification number, plugged it in and then it worked. No special work-arounds necessary. Thanks for taking the time to follow up with me.
