Lightroom Classic: How to remove/change cell phone sync location?

I have been syncing photos from LR CC on my Android cell phone to LR Classic CC on my desktop. In LR Classic CC there are two locations at the bottom of my folders list for this purpose. One location is labeled with my cell phone's name and the other is labeled 'Lightroom Web.' These locations were created automatically as far as I can tell when I started syncing photos between the various programs.

I am replacing cells phones now. How do I remove or change the name of the old cell phone sync location so only the new cell phone is available and listed?

Have you tried right-clicking on it?

Right clicking does nothing. Left clicking opens up the location which contains a folder labeled 'Imported Photos.' I can remove photos from that folder. Right clicking on the folder provides a drop down list of actions. One action is to remove it. But I don't know if that will remove its parent tab too. So I have not tried that yet. I'd like to understand how this works a little better before I start clicking away--I don't want to make things worse by accident.

Go to LR Preferences, then the Lightroom Sync tab. There you can change the location of "Specify location for LR CC's ecosystem images". There you can hit "Choose" and select a folder with your new cellphone's name (or just rename the old folder in the Finder (you didn't say Mac or PC, or in Windows Explorer?) and then hit Choose and pick the newly named folder.

Thanks for the suggestion. When I check the "Specify Location for LR CC's ecosystem images" and select [Choose] it opens to a folder at the current specified location C:\Users\Pictures\Lightroom\MobileDownloads.lrdata. In that folder are two additional folders, one for synced cell phone and one for Lightroom Web synced photos. But they are not named that way, they have unique folder names consisting of a long string of letters and numbers apparently assigned by LR when the two folders were created.

Move the existing images to another folder. Any folder will do, including a new folder you've created for this purpose. Then assign another folder as the download destination for your mobile images (instead of MobileDownloads.lrdata). Again any folder will do, including a newly created folder. Finally you can remove all (now empty) folders from the Mobile Downloads device. That will remove the device itself from the catalog.

Thanks Johan. I'll play around with your suggestion to see if I can get it to work for me. In the meantime, what does the [Delete All Synced Data] do? Will it remove the current download folders for my cell and the LR CC web app?

Delete All Synced Data wipes everything for the cloud and any LR CC devices (web/mobile/desktop). It doesn't delete from your hard drive any photos that have already downloaded to LR Classic, but marks them as unsynced.
