Lightroom Mobile: How do I pause syncing?

My favorite camera app in my iphone is Lightroom Mobile, and so I end up coming home with a lot of shots after being out shooting.  I have it set so it will not sync unless I'm on wifi.

So, when I get home and open up LR mobile to take a look at the new images, it starts syncing right away (actually, I'm not sure but maybe it starts syncing in background as soon as I step into my house).  The problem is, I end up only keeping about 5-10% of my shots to work on in Lightroom on my desktop Mac, and so I don't want it to start syncing until I have trashed all the poor shots.

My question is: how can I pause automatic syncing and restart when I'm ready?

Hi Mark,

I'm pretty sure that currently you can't but agree it would be a useful feature!

So, I find what I have to do -- if I remember to even do it -- is to turn off Wifi as soon as I drive into my garage (where wifi reaches). Then I go in and delete the obviously bad shots, and then turn Wifi back on.

I'm surprised this isn't a more popular request.  I'm probably similar to many people, where I take several dozen or more photos in a session, and know that I might only have a handful of keepers.  But when I start to look at the photos in LR Mobile, I don't even have a chance to look through the photos to cull them before it's burning my battery syncing the new photos.  Such a waste.  A simple "pause" in the syncing seems so easy to add.

I too think there needs to be a way to pause syncing in LRM back to CC.  At a remote location with poor wifi I don't want to consume bandwidth uploading potentially hundreds of RAW images when I only want them on my iPad.  When I get back to normal wifi, and have culled my images, then let me turn it back on!  If I disable wifi all together I won't be able to do email, etc.  Thanks!!!

Please add the capability to stop or disable syncing in all forms of lightroom. I set up lightroom cc for my dad on a Mac. It didn't have the features that he had had before with his old non cc version of lightroom. Then I set up lightroom classic cc. Since I left, he says it is downloading duplicate photos, and corrupting his filing system. I would like to be able to have him stop syncing until I can work with him to try and resolve the problems. But I live 5 states away...
