Hi I've fiddled a bit with the new mobile/CC version, but only used to the one desktop licence, I see on my iPad I can just see collections of my desktop work so theyre just copies of my desktop work, but lately I installed all the creative cloud software onto a new laptop and found I could install CC as well as Classic CC...so how do I use the 2 together, or whats the purpose of having both on a laptop, quite confusing

It doesn't integrate well, and it's not intended to do so. Think of the new LRCC as if it is LR Mobile but running on a computer, and LR "Classic" as being the Lightroom you've been using. There's not really any good reason for having both on the same computer.

Deliberate incoherence would be my description. Adobe are trying to get us to think of the Lightroom world as being an "ecosystem" around the LRCC brand (the new LRCC for Mac/PC, LRiOS, LrAndroid, LrWeb) and Lightroom itself which they are now calling "Classic". Just as clouds blow around, the rest of the world communicates with the "ecosystem", it just isn't being properly integrated with it.
