PHOTOSHOP - How do I restore the Toolbar?

Somehow I have hidden the Toolbar on the left side. I don't know how I did it or how I can restore it.

Which product are you using?
Which version?

In Photoshop and Elements you'd just select Window -> Tools

I meant to write "Tool Box" and not "Tool Bar." The version is CS2 with an update that was updated to a 6.0, or a 6.0 updated to a CS2.

Yes. Photoshop CS2. I have tried Window > Tools. All I get is a small icon of the Photoshop program which is a link to Photoshop Products. I do not know what I did to cause this.

OK, you may want to try resetting Photoshop's preferences.

OK. I have found the preferences - but how do I reset them? (I REALLY appreciate your help.)

Deleting the preferences files is one way. Or hold down control-alt-shift (command-option-shift on MacOS) while starting the application.
