What versions of what software, and are they cloud-licensed, serial-number-licensed?

Are you photos and LR catalog somewhere else and safe or are they getting erased as part of getting the new computer?

I had a forum moderator remove your reply so as not to let everyone see your serial number on a public forum like this.

If I remember you said you had a serial number version of LR, but you also said you had the Photography Program CC plan for $10/month that includes PS and LR and doesn't use a serial number. You also said that you had some photos and libraries on flash drives or memory cards but whatever was on your old computer is gone.

In light of what I think I remember you saying, I think to answer your original question about what to do, you should just go to https://creative.adobe.com/products, then login using your Adobe ID, and download and install both LR and PS from there, and you'll have products on your new computer. Then recover what you can from flash drives and memory cards, and start working on your recovered photos and catalog. I guess it's possible that Time Machine works via the cloud and you can restore your photos and catalog that way--I don't have a Mac so I don't know what Time Machine does when you get a new computer if anything, but if you do use Time Machine or some other recovery method to copy things from the old computer to the new computer, you shouldn't do this for the software, just reinstall the software, because the Adobe licensing mechanism doesn't work properly if you move the information from one computer to another. Reinstalling the software should recreate the licensing information on the new computer.

To install Creative Cloud desktop software on a 2nd or new computer, go to Adobe.com and sign-in with your Adobe ID, then click on Desktop under Apps to download and install your apps on the new computer. Or sign-in and go directly to this link to download your software: https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/catalog/desktop.html

If you've lost a computer or want to deactivate a computer you no longer have, got to: https://account.adobe.com/plans and click on Manage Plan, then scroll down to the section for Activated Devices to deactivate any computers you no longer want activated.

The one issue with this is that sometimes this profile with its management button and other options is not visible when signing in to Adobe.com. Sometimes it is replaced with an announcement like it was yesterday and you have to click on your name to get to information.

My laptop is crashing because I suddenly have 0 bytes of memory left. I'm trying to get my thousands of photos off of it and I want to put my cc subscription onto an old laptop. How do I go about putting cc somewhere besides my original computer destination?

The issue is, when you follow the directions above (Go to your account, then click Desktop) it prompts you to set up a whole new plan. Even though you are already logged in to a PAID IN FULL plan. Which is SUPER ANNOYING. Why can we not just go in and download the Creative Cloud Desktop software again? What am I missing??

I have Photoshop and Lightroom through a subscription to Creative Cloud and was able to download it to both my Windows PC and my Mac laptop. When I had a problem recently, I contacted Adobe and they were extremely helpful in resolving the problems on both computers.

I also have a laptop (MacBook Pro) and a desktop PC and have been able to download CC to both. The license allows you to have it on 2 computers and it is compatible with both OSs. I think you need to log into Adobe on each computer with your password and you will be able to download it to each one.

You shouldn't have to enter a serial #. You should be able to just download the software using the instructions above and sign in to activate the software. If that doesn't work, I suspect a firewall or bad host file might be blocking the software from talking with the activation server: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html#Troubleshoot%20connectivity%20issues

You need your license key to install new.
To do this follow these steps:

Start by signing in the Adobe site:  https://accounts.adobe.com
Sign in using your Adobe name then go to Manage Account, use your password.
Next click Plan and Products, then View My Products, to see your licensed
products and license keys for each.   Now you can get back into the groove.
