How do I make the scroll work when searching through adjustment brush presets in Lightroom?

Dave,

I don't believe I understand your question.

I presume you are in the Brush tool in the develop module of LR Classic.  In the brush panel (looks much like the basic panel but with some brush info at the bottom) I assume you are referring to the selection menu to the right of the word "Custom" on the "Effects:" line (little up/down arrows).

Can you confirm that I'm in the right place and then describe your issue with a bit more detail, including what you've tried that didn't work?

thanks -- Dan

Dan, Yes, you are in the right place.  For years (macbook) I have been able to click on the "little up/down arrows", open the drop down menu of the many brushes I have added over the years and use my mouse wheel to scroll quickly when searching for a brush.  The wheel does not scroll when I try it on my new windows machine.  With the list of brushes open, I have to click on the little triangle at the top or bottom which moves my list one brush at a time, up or down. I have reloaded LR classic, changed the mouse.

thanks--Dave

Does the mouse scroll wheel work in other places one would expect it to work both within LR (e.g., scrolling the grid) and in other Apps (e.g. Word or Excel)?  If it works on the LR grid, then sounds like an LR bug.  If it doesn't work outside of LR then must be some sort of operating system setting or faulty mouse.  I don't have enough of those presets to not fit on my screen but could build some to test if you wish

The mouse scroll works just fine in my gmail inbox and the grid and filmstrip in LR.  Already switched the mouse, but no change.  Don't want you to go to anymore trouble.  Do the Adobe techs monitor this website?  Do you have an email?  Thanks!

I have the same issue. Scroll works on the mac, but not on Windows 10.  Curios to see a fix.

Finally spoke with an Adobe tech  who said the only way to scroll on a windows machine is to use the keyboard arrows.  It's some help, but not nearly as efficient as the mouse scroll.  Hard to believe Adobe can't set this up.  Also can use the 1st letter of the brush name to move directly to it.  Trouble is I have 30 or 40 that begin with the word "Portrait"!
