How do I export a LightRoom 6.1 catalog to use in LR5.7

How do I export my catalog from Lightroom 6 into a version that Lightroom 5.7 will open. I CANNOT BEAR using LR6.1 any more.

Optimising the catalog, adding memory and increasing raw cache still mean that the adjustment brush tool ALMOST ALWAYS causes windows to tell me that Lightroom has stopped responding after the first stroke. Then the windows get
whited out and I wait anything from 2-10 seconds for it to come back - EVERY STROKE.

I want to go back to 5.7, but 5.7 says the LR6.1 catalog is too new - even if I export a partial catalog. I have masses of edits that I with to keep.

I don't mind writing off the money I spent on the upgrade, I just want a useable tool that I can save all the work I've done in the past.

Catalogs are not compatible between versions. There is no way to make a LR 6/CC catalog compatible with LR 5. You can try writing all the changes to XMP and then open the images in LR 5 and read metadata from file and see if that works.

Thanks. I'll just go back to LR5.7 and do it all over again I guess.
Cheers
