Is there a shortcut or keystroke that would allow me to enter a caption for multiple photos at the same time by selecting them in the filmstrip and viewing a single large photo on top. One photo in the filmstrip has a white outline, the others gray. I'm forced to go back to one of the tile modes to select multiple photos, enter the identical caption, go back to individual photo mode & then proceed with other editing. Seems this MUST be possible from the filmstrip.

Even when multiple photos are selected, certain functions like adding keywords and captions are only applied to the main image if you are in a view with a single image, like Loupe view. To add them to all selected images, you must be in Grid view. That is intentional, to protect you from changing hundreds of images by mistake, because you only saw a single image and didn't realise you had selected so many.

Then I have a feature request. If I'm in develop mode (this is in CC, not classic) and working on some photos & select the info button, it should automatically put me in the grid mode ready to enter info. I've done it a few times, thinking I'm editing caption or title for a group of photos only to realize the info was only entered on one photo. Or maybe if that is too specific, there should be a shortcut key or the caution popup that says...you are about to edit 100 photos--yes/no. I'm basically entering Title & Caption for a large group of photos right now & also doing some develop edits as I go along. It's a lot of repetitive clicking going back & forth. I'm open to hearing a recommended workflow. Maybe CC doesn't want you doing exposure edits while also editing captions?
