Lightroom Desktop: How can I import duplicates?

Hi, I just started working with lightroom. I played around a bit last couple of weeks and now I wanted to import all original pics into lightroom. To start with a clean sheet, I deleted all pictures already in lightroom (the ones I played around with) I also emptied my trash. The problem is the following: Lightroom doesn't allow me to import all files since it tells me these are duplicates and already imported in lightroom. This is true as most of them I did indeed import previously but as I told before I erased all those pictures. Lightroom cc is empty again and I want to import all pics again. How can I import duplicates??

Also check the web version of Lightroom: lightroom.adobe.com - sometimes it might not be cleaned up there

Thanks Adam. I opened the web version and the weird thing is that I am able to upload them! (the same pictures I tried to upload on desktop applictation of lightroom) Any idea how this is possible?

They appear on the desktop version too now:)

Not sure but maybe the deletion took some time to synchronize
