I've just upgraded to Photoshop CS6 from CS4 on my iMac running on OS 10.6.8 and ran into a problem that the online Photoshop help people were unable to solve. When I pull down any of the Menu items several of the commands are always highlighted in blue. How can I get rid of the highlight?

You've loaded a workspace that has some of the menu items colored (like the "New in CS6" workspace).

You can turn them off individually from the Keyboard and Menu Shortcuts dialog (Edit -> Menus).
Or you can just choose a workspace that doesn't have the items highlighted.

Photoshop > Preferences > Interface > un-tick 'Show Menu Colors'
