Lightroom: Hierarchial Keywords

Why are Lightroom keywords listed in a linear line? I use Photools Image Management also, since the keyword structure is much better. I can have structural hierarchies, Like country, county, community, location, or type of relation to people. I get thousands of keywords, but can select from 20 top group names. This way it becomes much faster to find the right keywords, even when you do not remember exactly how you spelled it, or which keywords you did use before for that feature.

You can already change them into a hierarchy. Just drag and drop onto your group-name keywords.

I don't understand this feature request - would you mind clarifying, e.g. which linear line are you talking about..

The keyword set is in a separate pane, and has only 9 entries, and no subset of those 9. The keyword list is one very long list, where I would like to be able to make a subkeyword to any, and sub to sub again, and open and close those with a small + or - sign. Selecting Ris 1 (adress) would mean also Vinderen (local part of town), Aker (community), Oslo, (town) and Norway (country) and Europe was automatically included as keywords. I think making small trees of the keywords is a much smarter way to organise them and find them later, and have several relevant ones selected in one go.

As I said, you can already do that. Create your Europe keyword. Drag your Norway keyword onto that. Drag Oslo onto Norway. Drag Aker onto Oslo. Keep going. Get the idea?

Then when you apply the Ris keyword, it'll apply the others.
