Lightroom 2015.8: Having multiple problems "error changing modules" and keyboard shortcuts

Using my iMac with Sierra 10.12.1 and todays Lightroom refresh 2015.8 I'm encountering some issues none of which I've seen before.
The crop tool, or the keyboard shortcut, toggles between two images.  Tool panels come and go at random. The reject flag sometimes registers, sometimes doesn't. Had a box with "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" and finally couldn't quit with out forcing.

Try resetting your preferences.
1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Opt]+[Shift] and relaunch Lightroom
3. Overwrite preferences when prompted.
4. Close Lightroom
5. Open Lightroom.

Does it behave now? If not, you may need to uninstall/reinstall.

After an uninstall and a reinstall Lightroom is (so far!) working as it should, thank you for your advice.

Thanks. Good to see I'm not alone on this - I have seen similar issues, all day long - did not notice this thread, so here is mine: Interface issues with Lightroom 2015.8

I'll try a re-install, now I have my presets backed up (another issue!)

The re-install appears to have done the trick for me, no further problems so far (fingers crossed!).
