Hey is Face Recognition faster?

I recently uploaded a lot of photos from a trip, and while waiting for faces to load I noticed that my CPU was at 50%! Normally Lightroom never seems to use more than one core, which for me means 9 physical cores mostly idle. Face recognition is easily done in parallel so thanks for doing so.

(Now if only faces were real collections, such that hitting right-arrow on a photo with a given face would go to the next photo with that face, rather than to the next photo in the timeline.)

Hi Erich,

Regarding your closing sentence, face recognition in LR results in person tags being assigned to photos. So, you can either open your Keyword List panel in the Library Module and click on the little arrow that appears to the right of the person tag to show only those photos tagged with that name, or create a Smart Collection for the names you're interested in yourself...

Hey, nice suggestion! It forces the current folder to "All Photographs" which is a pity because it is huge. But aside from that it is pure gold. Thanks!!
