Here is a idea. Making a version of Lightroom classic CC for the iPad. Is that a possibility

I would really like Lightroom classic on my iPad . I’m just not a fan of mobile.

Not going to happen. Lightroom CC/Mobile has been built from the ground up to be a mobile multi device orientated app. Adobe isn't going to suddenly bring Lightroom Classic to mobile devices. Personally I'm a huge fan of the new Lightroom CC. It's still missing a few features I like compared to classic, but that gab is eroding as the updates roll out. Probably best to get a windows tablet

The reason why Adobe built a new Lightroom from the ground up was that the old Lightroom Classic code was not suitable for things like syncing and cloud storage, and rewriting all that code would be more work than creating a whole new Lightroom ecosystem. So no, that is not going to happen.

It's probably more profitable (if a Sisyphean endeavour) to ask for Lightroom Mobile to be improved in very specific, grown-up areas that appeal to Classic users. For instance, for me the ability to add keywords in Mobile is a waste of development dollars if it doesn't sync throughout the Lightroom world and is just limited to the "ecosystem". Some of the sharing and proofing features are would be popular with Classic users and yet are implemented at a childish level, and there are other obvious areas where Cloudy seems to have been a distraction. Mobile is pretty good when you stretch it, and could be more for Classic-level users.

And, George, how would you connect the iPad to your 36TB RAID array, with all your photos, anyway?

If it’s a NAS, it might be closer to a mobile workflow than desktop, don’t you think? ;-)

Maybe, but I'm old school, I don't NAS, I DAS (Direct Attached Storage)! I have a need, for speed! ;-)
